Three Years Old #SOL19 Day 31/31

Today is the last day of the Slice of Life Story Challenge for the month of March.  This is the fourth year I have joined the community of writers over at Two Writing Teachers in taking up this challenge of writing for 31 consecutive days. It was hard work AND the growth was immeasurable. Thank you for following along!

Three Years Old

She turned three on Friday

And celebrated on Saturday

Nine toddlers

Decorating donuts

Homemade of course

Pizza

Salad

Cake

Balloons

And presents too!

Excitement

Family

Tears

Joys

Birthdays are exhausting!

At 3

Or at 60!

Time to make the donuts – pre-party fun with my granddaughter!

  1. Three, I think, is a magical age. My oldest now has a new three-year-old in his life and our world is suddenly full of wonder, for everything is new and fascinating through her eyes! Such joy, truly. -Did you say nine toddlers decorating doughnuts?? That’s not merely exhausting – that’s absolute courage! I hope to read more of your adventures in the weeks to come. 🙂

    1. Hi Lois! I used an app to turn the picture into a watercolor like painting so as to not to have our precious babies out there on the web! Thanks for your reading of my posts!

    1. Yes, and I didn’t plan it just arrived early to help make the donuts. I knew I needed to write about the birthday so chose a minimalist approach to capture the day.
