Capturing the blessings in my life through words and photos
I wrote a slice of life post about this woodland walk during the March Slice of Life challenge, yet upon returning to the path yesterday I saw it again through the eyes of a child and poet.
I saw a little fairy town in a garden on my walk this past weekend and remembered your March story. Your poem perfectly compliments your story. 🙂
Just beautiful! I love, “you hush and peek with a whispered voice…”
One of my favorite writing techniques is turning a favorite passage into a poem! I had my grad students do it with Frindle recently and their pieces were incredible! I needed a reminder that I too could do this!
Christine, I like how you’ve taken a different approach to a previous piece, and I especially love the subject matter. Introducing kids to the wonders of nature is one of my favorite things to do, and your love for doing it shines through your writing.
Christine, I love how you took a piece you’ve already written and changed the structure and perspective. Such a great writing practice. And what a fun idea for your woodlands. I, too, hope the love and appreciation of nature continues after the pandemic!
